Ease of Application

Our PU Heat Transfer Vinyl is very easy to apply on compatible fabrics. You can cut and press it onto your shirt without any hassle. If you do not have a cutting machine, you can also use a pair of scissors for freehand, simple designs. If your decal has a lot of intricate details, we suggest investing in a good cutting machine such as Cricut or Silhouette.

All you need to do is design your desired graphic or text on a computer using a software, preferably the one that is compatible with your cutting machine. Once ready, mirror the image or text horizontally (flipping it) as you'll be working on the backside of the vinyl. 

Place the PU Heat Transfer Vinyl on a cutting mat and load it into a vinyl cutter to carve out the design. When it's done, it's time to use a weeding tool such as a tweezer, weeder or weeding pen to remove excess vinyl from around and within the design. Peel away the vinyl pieces that are not part of your design, leaving only the desired graphic on the carrier sheet. Preheat your heat press or iron according to the instructions provided with the PU Heat Transfer Vinyl. The recommended temperature will vary depending on the vinyl brand and type.

Place your t-shirt on a flat and heat-resistant surface. Position the weeded vinyl design on the desired area of the t-shirt, making sure it's centered and aligned correctly. Place parchment paper or Teflon sheet over it and apply heat and pressure for the specified time.

For a heat press, follow our instructions regarding temperature, pressure, and time. Typically, PU vinyl requires temperatures around 320°F (160°C) with 10-15 seconds of pressing. If using an iron, set it to the appropriate temperature and apply firm pressure all over the design for the recommended time.

After the pressing time is complete, remove the heat press. Allow the vinyl to cool for a few seconds, but not completely. Peel off the carrier sheet slowly and carefully, making sure the vinyl adheres to the fabric. If any part of the vinyl sticks to the carrier sheet, lay it back down, cover with the Teflon sheet, and apply heat and pressure again.

Once the carrier sheet is removed, your design is ready. That's it! You've successfully applied PU heat transfer vinyl to your fabric. Enjoy your customized creation!
