I have not received my order after 15 days.
I’ve increased force and it’s still not weeding cleanly. Arg.
Just wish I would have gotten more than 1 roll of htv but that's okay! The permanent is so beautiful! Easy to weed! Great product!

For Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), the ideal temperature range typically falls between 270°F -385°F (132°C-196°C), depending on the type of vinyl being used. For standard HTV on cotton or polyester, the temperature should be set around 305°F-315°F (132°C-157°C). Glitter or metallic HTV requires a higher temperature of 320°F-350°F (160°C-177°C), while more delicate materials like foil or stretch HTV work best at 270°F-300°F (132°C-149°C). Reflective HTV typically needs 320°F-340°F (160°C-171°C). Always press for 10-20 seconds with medium pressure, and be sure to check the peel type, which could be either warm or cold depending on the vinyl.

Pre-pressing the garment before printing your vinyl design on it is important. It helps remove moisture and creases, making the fabric completely dry and smooth before the actual HTV transfer. For this, follow the recommended temperature settings mentioned above depending on the type of HTV you are using with light pressure for 10-20 seconds onlyand temperature is 135 ℃ to 150 ℃. It is advised to place parchment paper on top of the garment to protect it from scorching or getting dirty, especially if it is light in color.

Heat press machines are easy to use when it comes to adjusting the time and temperature settings. All you have to do is press the up and down arrow keys for the traditional dial machine. For newer heat press models, you can input the desired number on the digital control panel. The latest heat press machines have an automatic shut-off function, where the clam opens on its own when the time is up. Older models, on the other hand, emit a beeping sound when the time is over.

If you don’t follow the correct press time and temperature settings, the vinyl won’t adhere to the fabric properly. Excessive heat application for a long time may cause the fabric to scorch and the vinyl to melt. On the contrary, a low temperature and insufficient time may prevent the vinyl from peeling off the carrier sheet. Hence the best output depends on the right temperature and time combination. Printing with HTV is a trial-and-error process.

When applying heat transfer vinyl design to your garment, you might encounter different issues that have to be taken care of. Here are the common problems faced and their solutions.
If you are using other heat transfer printing methods to design your garment, here’s the temperature and time chart you should follow.

|---|---|---|---|
| Light transfer paper | Light fabrics | 180 ℃ to 200 ℃ | 10-15 |
| Dark transfer paper | Dark Fabrics | 135 ℃ to 175 ℃ | 25-30 |
| Sublimation printing | Polyester shirts Light fabrics Sublimation goods |
180 ℃ to 200 ℃ | 40-60 |
